Another Earthquake May Hit Japan, According To 160 Mysteriously Beached Whales

In March of 2011, Japan was hit with a devastating tsunami caused by the Great East Japan earthquake. It was the most powerful earthquake ever to hit the country, and the fourth most powerful earthquake in the world since 1900. It caused seven nuclear meltdowns, and killed 15,891 people in its wake. Six days before that earthquake, 50 melon-headed whales beached themselves on shore.
Recently, 160 whales beached themselves in the same area. Is this a warning from the whales? Do they know something that we don't?

On April 9th of this year, 160 whales washed up on a 2.5 mile stretch of beach in Hokotashi City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Although some were saved, many were found dead on the scene by the time rescuers arrived.

Alarmingly, they were found in the same area where the 50 beached whales were found in 2011 before the earthquake hit. Its epicenter was just 62 miles away.

Dr. Arunachalam Kumar believes that, "mass suicides of whales and dolphins that occur sporadically all over the world are in some way related to disturbances in electromagnetic field coordinates, and possible realignments of geotectonic plates thereof."

Here's footage of the cleanup crew investigating the scene.

This wouldn't be the first time whales predicted geological phenomena swelling below the surface. In February of 2011, 100 pilot whales beached themselves in New Zealand. Two days later, Stewart Island was hit with an earthquake that killed 185 people. And before the infamous 2004 Boxing Day Earthquake, which killed 230,000 people, 170 whales beached themselves in both New Zealand and Australia.
So is this all just a coincidence, or should we heed the warning of the whales?

What This Dad Found In The Background Of This Sweet Photo Will Give You Chills

If we've learned anything about ghosts in recent years, it's that they never pass up the opportunity for a good photobomb, regardless of their intended haunting victim's location. Redditor Obiaruf's friend learned this lesson the hard way when he was trying to take a picture of his daughter during a recent vacation in Japan.

Here is the picture in question. Notice anything freaky?

Here is the same photo with the "ghost" circled. It's a little difficult to see if you're not looking for it.

There are what appears to be a set of black boots facing out towards the water behind the girl. No other part of the being is visible, but judging from the size of the feet, it should be at least six feet tall and thus appear above the little girl.

Obiaruf says that the photo hasn't been altered at all. His friend took several more pictures over the next few minutes, but the figure did not appear in any of them.

Could those actually be the feet of a ghost, or someone standing there that the photographer didn't see? Either way, this is pretty freaky.

I'm not sure what it is, but something tells me that the spooky figure in this photo is real. I hope this ghost just likes to haunt the cliffside and didn't manage to follow Obiaruf's friend home.

What People In Japan Are Purposely Doing To Their Bodies Is Absolutely Nuts

♠ Posted by Unknown in ,
One of the most important things to know about extreme body modification is that many procedures are notoriously difficult or downright impossible to reverse. Once you make these modifications, there is no turning back. This fact makes one of the latest trends in extreme body modifications all the more interesting. This new body modification fad is called "bageling," or "bagel head," and it looks like this:

Kind of freaky, right?

The bagel head look is achieved by injecting 300 to 400 cc of medical-grade saline directly into the mid-forehead of a person. The injected saline is then molded to look like a bagel or a donut, hence the name.

The injection process takes about two hours to complete, and the resulting look lasts up to 24 hours before the saline is absorbed by the body.

Canadian body modification artist Jerome Abramovitch pioneered the procedure in his native country before it found a home in Japan, where it has become quite popular.

Unlike many extreme body modification procedures, the bagel head procedure is temporary and carries little risk.

Typically, the "bagel" created by the saline is adsorbed by the body within 24 hours after the procedure. Saline is harmless to the human body. However, the use of non-medical grade saline does carry a risk of extreme dehydration.

To say that this trend is shocking would be a bit of an understatement. Still, it actually looks pretty cool, and at least it's only a temporary procedure. I'm not sure how happy those people would be if they had to walk around with a bagel on the forehead for the rest of their lives.
