What A Pit Bull Does To These Chicks Will Just Make Your Heart Burst

♠ Posted by Unknown in ,,,,,,
If you're having a bad day (or even if you're not), you should really take a moment to understand the adorableness of what you are about to see. Let's go over the basics...
Baby chicks: adorable.
Sweet, gentle Pit Bulls: also incredibly cute.
So, what happens when you combine the two? Well, let's do a tiny bit of math...

Total relaxation...

- 2 rogue chicks

To the ninth power of rogue chicks...

/ Everyone back together again...

= Pure, unadulterated adorableness!

Even though algebra was never really my thing...I totally understand this formula. To simplify: Pit Bull + chicks = cute! Because let's face it, we're not all Einsteins, but we do all understand the basic theory of hearts melting from this sweetness.

You May Not Recognize This Adorable Animal Now, But You'll Quickly Fall In Love

First off, you're probably asking yourself, "What the heck is an echidna?" and "Why does this 'puggle' look like neither a Beagle or a Pug?"
Don't worry, we have the answers. Echidna are also known as "spiny anteaters" and they join platypuses as the only mammals on earth who reproduce by laying eggs. When those eggs hatch, the babies are known as puggles. And they're pretty dang cute, if we do say so ourselves.

This little guy was recently rescued by the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia.

When they brought him in, he was suffering serious injuries after a bulldozer dug up his burrow.

But he's doing much better now with the help of his new surrogate mom, Sam, a zookeeper.

She feeds him a special milk mixture straight from the palm of her hand, similar to how he would feed in the wild.

Here he is playing adorably with another youngster at the zoo:

Since being brought to the zoo in February, the puggle has almost doubled in size and grown more confident in his eating. However, he does still enjoy stopping now and then to blow bubbles in the milk!

This Fuzzy Mammal May Look Cute, But It's Hiding A Murderous Secret

The pika is a tiny mammal that is even more adorable than its adorable sounding name. Most of the year it is a vegetarian, but during the desperate Alaskan winters, the pika turns into a meat-eating heathen. It even has a creepily sophisticated system of consuming its victims that would impress even Hannibal Lecter.

During the warmer months the pika act like normal rodents, leisurely eating grass and other plants, and mating until the sun goes down.

Summertime, and the living is leafy.

But while most creatures only have one den, the pika also creates a secret cellar, separate from where he sleeps. What is this cellar for? Well, it's not for wine that's for sure.

I like to imagine the pika lighting a little pika-sized candelabra when retreating to his cellar.

In winter, when food is scarce, birds freeze to death and drop to the ground. The pika shepherds the body into the cellar, where it pierces its skull with its teeth and eats the brain. The body is kept separately from his home because the pika knows it will attract bigger predators.

Like most horror movie villains, the pika's cellar is where the murder happens.
After the bloody and brutal winters, the pika goes back to its prissy, vegetarian lifestyle like it didn't just lobotomize a bunch of birds for 3 months.
This is why you should never fully trust your vegetarian friends. At the very least, don't go into their cellars.
