Guys, remember how we all hated winter? Well at least the bees were all dead back then!
At 3:30 a.m., the driver of this truck lost control and slammed into a guardrail, flipping the truck and unleashing the wrath of several million bees onto the highway.
Beekeepers and police were on the scene within an hour to assess the situation. Approximately 128 of the hives were saved, but many bees were executed by foam before the sun could agitate them and make them even more violent.
The bees were on their way to pollinate a blueberry farm in Washington. The bees themselves were worth $92,000, but their absence could cost the facility much of their seasonal harvest. It's a devastating blow to the farmers.
The bee swarm was so bad that it took several hours to clean up the mess. Even after the crew left, drivers were urged to close their windows and vents because the air was so saturated with the unpopular insect.
God, I hate spring.
